This past week I went on a hunt for tzatziki sauce and three grocery stores later, returned empty-handed. After sharing my misadventure with my boyfriend’s mom, she enlightened me with this easy and delicious homemade tzatziki recipe:
Ingredients
- 1 cup full fat Greek yogurt
- 1 large cucumber, grated
- 1 tbsp lemon juice*
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced*
- 1 tbsp dill, chopped*
- Pinch of salt*
*Start with this much, add more to your own taste preferences!
Instructions
- Grate your cucumber (a large cheese grater works well) and squeeze out the excess water. Mince garlic and chop dill.
- Mix everything together and voila! So simple. I recommend adding this into your weekly rotation alongside my quick & easy mediterranean style grocery list.
